CHRISTMAS EVE!

So with the forgetful brain I have, I am shamed to say picture taking was minimal Christmas Eve, ok and Christmas but there is some evidence that we celebrated! Our first Christmas Eve celebration was with Grant's family the Sunday before. There was food, singing, dancing, and just good times! But of course we forgot our camera, ok so we forgot our WHOLE diaper bag, so we weren't able to take pictures. But Jeffrey loved singing and dancing with his cousins and refused to be baby Jesus. And on another note, my pictures uploaded backwards, so the events are backwards. :)
At my Grandparents house, the Long's, each grandchild receives a stocking, or a bag of gifts from my Grandparents. First thing that Jeffrey pulled out was Green Bay Packer pajamas AND HE WAS SO EXCITED! I have never seen him that excited! The Packers are my Grandpa's favorite team, so Jeffrey must be following suit.
Grandpa reading The Night Before Christmas, a yearly tradition.
Grant played his guitar with my Mom, sister Steph, and cousin Pookie. They were awesome and it was beautiful. We had a delicious dinner and good times with my relatives.
For lunch Christmas Eve we went to my Nana and Grandad's house. Lunch was scrumptious and it was nice to visit with them. It was only my immediate family and my grandparents so it was very relaxed, which was awesome. Here is my sisters Hailey and Annie, who adore Jeffrey. They have a lot of fun together.

Finally . . . Christmas Break!

Christmas time means family time! Steph, her husband Ty, and my niece Bristol were in town for Christmas so we got to spend a whole week together! Bristol and Jeffrey get a long pretty well, with a few hug exchanges, but also a few stolen toys. But progress is being made!
Jeffrey at the Hughes Christmas party sat on Santa's lap! I thought he would cry, but Santa quickly gave Jeffrey some candy, and Jeffrey's look seemed to say "OK, I will sit on your lap for some candy" and he did great!
The weekend after Grant and I were done with school (hooray!) we headed up to McCall for some fun and relaxation. We were invited to my Uncle Scott's and Aunt Laurie's for dinner and we got to see baby Esa and Sarah too! It was a lot of fun to catch up.
We bundled Jeffrey to go outside and sled, but we had to take a picture of us and the big icicles first.
Classic! I love this picture! Do not worry, we did not have him go down by himself, but we had to have a candid moment. He actually did not care for sledding down the hill, so we had Grant pull Jeffrey and I around the coldesac on the sled. He was a good puller :)
Once we got home we had a lot of needed down time to play and spend time together.
Jeffrey is now scooting and starting to crawl! He finally found some presents, and this one totally says "Let me open this and no one will get hurt"
And I couldn't help myself but to post this picture! I love his little physique :) And next nap time, I will post Christmas Eve, Christmas, and time spent in McCall after Christmas!

P.S.

I just realized if you double click on the photo of Jeffrey in the snow with the pine tree you can see his little teeth! So cute! :) And so then I decided to post a few more pics! We took this picture of Jeffrey yesterday at Scott and Laurie's house in Hidden Springs visiting Sarah and Esa! Esa is BEAUTIFUL, just like her mommy! But we will let her mommy post her pictures, they are adorable!
These are the pictures of decorating our Christmas tree that did not turn out. Figures. Here is Jeffrey with his first ornament, a train engine. He looks so thrilled, but yet again, he might just be angry we made him wear his reindeer antlers.

And the infamous onesie that Grant picked out before Jeffrey was even born. Grant has been looking forward to Jeffrey wearing this onesie for a long time, so here it is. (I am not a huge fan, but what can you do)

CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE!

THE HOLIDAYS! I love them! As soon as Thanksgiving was over, Grant started playing Christmas hymns and songs on the guitar and it is awesome! Jeffrey LOVES watching and listening to Grant on the guitar. Lately, this is how I find them, playing music together!
SNOW DAY! Yes, even big kids in college deserve a snow day once in a while! :) Wednesday was declared a snow day across the whole valley, so we had to take some pictures to document Jeffrey's 1st Snow Day! And I had not had a Snow Day since 2nd grade, so I enjoyed it myself!
Here is Jeffrey! Grant took a picture of him in his first real snow. (And I of course as the mother made sure that there was an old towel under Jeffrey so he wouldn't get wet.) Isn't he cute?!

Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my big highlights of the season. I LOVE Christmas trees because they are my favorite. My parents invited us over Sunday evening to decorate their tree, so here is Jeffrey. We ended up decorating ours on our Snow Day, but none of the pictures really turned out . . . I will have to post one next time. I will admit that once I wrote on Jeffrey's 1st ornament, I started to cry. I despise this precious little boy growing up!
And talking of that little guy, he now has his two top and two bottom teeth. They are adorable, but I have no photo proof since Jeffrey just does not cooperate. Oh well, maybe someday. :) But last night at about 1 am he used those teeth (somehow) to bit his top lip. He woke up screaming and bleeding, but we got it under control. We just felt really bad.
He is rolling around like crazy, and I am just waiting for him to start crawling! His next appointment is this Wednesday, so I am anxious to know his progress. All I know is that he is getting heavier!
He LOVES to laugh! He randomly will start giggling, and it is hilarious! He loves cartoons, and my mom says he is a professional toy player, because he loves to play! Luckily he still loves to cuddle and give me kisses, and he says MAMA! LOVE HIM!

A NEW Post!

Happy Halloween! Yes, I have not posted in forever, so there it is, late, but Jeffrey is so cute as Buzz Lightyear that I think it makes up for it! This is Jeffrey at 8 months. After we (finally) found his costume we had to try it on.
Jeffrey got to big for his Bumbo chair, so we bought him a high chair that just straps onto a chair. So Grant thought it would be fun to put Jeffrey in the box. Surprisingly, it entertained Jeffrey for about an hour.
Jeffrey's 1st pumpkin! He got to paint it Halloween morning and he enjoyed it, until he wanted to eat the paint, so then fun was over.
Jeffrey, about at eight months, started rolling around everywhere! This was his first time at home where he went a good distance. He is growing up!
Happy Thanksgiving, but we are too excited for Christmas! So Christmas, hurry up!

Week After July 4th to Today!

The week after the 4th of July my family all went up to McCall to spend the week. It was a lot of fun and Grant was even able to come up for a couple of days! Here is Jeffrey on the boat.
This is Jeffrey sitting on the back deck of the boat putting his feet in the water. So cute! He is with Annie and my cousin Natalie. I am of course there hanging on to him! :)
Jeffrey showing off his team spirit!
My cute baby! He is growing way too fast!
Jeffrey Labor Day weekend on the boat in McCall.
Jeffrey and his Aunt Ashley on Labor Day at my Grandma's for a BBQ. And for a side note, Ashley leaves for her mission to Cambodia in exactly one week. We are going to miss her!
Jeffrey showing off his official 6 month old self in his pjs.
This picture was taken this last weekend. The Hughes' were kind enough to let us spend the day Saturday to watch General Conference. Dillon played with Jeffrey who loved every minute of it!
Jeffrey standing on the back of the chair. This was taken last week, and tomorrow he will be 7 months old! I cannot believe it! Oh, and do not worry, I was right there to catch him just in case. You can see my slipper and my pj pants in the bottom left corner!
I apologize for the delay in posting! We have been really busy with school and everyday life!

We ARE still here!

So I have not posted in a month because of two reasons! One is that Grant and I both went back to school full time. Needless to say, it was a very hard adjustment. With Jeffrey and I crying every day for two weeks, and periodically the next two, I am now glad to say that we are now used to this hectic schedule! I go to school Tuesdays and Thursday from noon to five and one night class Wednesday. Grant is able to watch Jeffrey Tuesdays and my Mom watches him the other two.
My second reason for not posting is that I am having trouble getting my pictures off of my camera to my computer! I think every post has to have a picture of Jeffrey, and I am not getting the stupid USB drive thing to work! So that is why I have not posted, and yes, Jeffrey is almost seven months and I cannot believe it. He is getting way too big.

Grant's FYI

Grant wanted to let everyone know that the "fruity looking outfit" that Jeffrey is wearing in the picture below is in actuality a bib. :)

Five Months!

Jeffrey this last Saturday turned five months old! I cannot believe how times flies! We also started Jeffrey on rice cereal in the mornings. Let us just say it is definately a work in progress!

Jeffrey and I before church yesterday! I cannot believe how much he has grown up! And below is the 4th of July picture I never posted! I definately need to take more pictures on these holidays.
And to think that Jeffrey only came home four and a half months ago. They grow up way to fast.

McCall

Last week Jeffrey, my family, and I were able to spend our time in McCall. So much fun! Steph even came down from Canada with Bristol to visit so it was a lot of fun. Here is Jeffrey and Bristol for an evening boat ride on the lake. Isn't she cute?!

Grandpa and Jeffrey. It was their first of many boat rides together! :)

He is officially four months! I cannot believe it!

Grant was able to miss two days of work to come to McCall. It was a very nice break for him! Here is Grant and Jeffrey testing out the hammocks Grant brought from Brazil to have in McCall at the cabin!.

I'm putting this one up for Grant. :) He recently bought this 1978 Bronco that he absolutely loves! And he also loves that it only has 28,000 original miles! It's his new toy. :)
